A prestigious PhD research fellowship scheme in Hong Kong

I am writing regarding a prestigious PhD research fellowship scheme in Hong Kong and we hope that you will be able to make this information available to your students and contacts. The application deadline is 1 December 2010.

The Hong Kong Research Grants Council launched the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme last year to attract excellent students from all over the world to undertake their PhD research in Hong Kong. The Fellowship entitles a recipient with a monthly stipend of HK$20,000 (around US$2,600) and an annual travel grant of HK$10,000 for a three-year period (the normal duration for a PhD programme for a Master degree holder). In addition, for recipients admitted into The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, their tuition fee will be waived. About 135 PhD Fellowships will be awarded for the 2011/12 academic year.
