The activities of LR SmartWater s.r.o. are closely connected with professional work in the fields of water management, sewer systems and district heating networks. The company was founded in 2025 by Ing. Jakub Lžičař, a former student of Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Institute of Municipal Water Management, and doc. Ing. Jaroslav Raclavský, Ph.D. The company builds on more than twenty years of experience in operational practice, design and the academic environment.

LR SmartWater s.r.o. focuses on the development and application of modern approaches to the analysis, modelling and optimisation of technical infrastructure, especially thermal, sewer and other utility networks. It specialises in smart utility networks, the creation of digital twins and the use of operational data to support both technical and investment decision-making. In its activities, it combines expertise in hydraulics, network operation, measurement and numerical modelling with the practical needs of infrastructure owners and operators.

The company provides professional services primarily in the areas of hydraulic modelling of sewer and water supply networks, analysis and optimisation of hot-water and district heating systems, model calibration based on operational data, and mobile measurement of hydraulic and thermal parameters. At the same time, it offers technical consulting in the planning of network development and renewal, as well as in assessing their operational reliability, efficiency and sustainability. In cooperation with specialists, it is also active in the field of drinking water treatment plants, where it evaluates existing technologies and proposes their modernisation and optimisation with emphasis on water quality, energy efficiency and reliability of supply.

An important area of the company’s activities is the development of the concept of digital twins of utility networks, which make it possible to simulate operating conditions more accurately, assess the impacts of proposed measures and improve the management of technical infrastructure assets. In this way, LR SmartWater s.r.o. contributes to the introduction of modern technological approaches into engineering practice and to improving the quality of decision-making processes in the management of public utility networks.
