Teaching at the institute is closely linked to scientific research and other professional activities of the academic staff.
As part of the grant-funded assignmen the institute’s staff deal with scientific research tasks in the field of municipal water management and environmental protection. This is addressed using both model research conducted in laboratories and by modelling with the use of computer technologies. The institute‘s staff act as researchers in grant schemes of the GAČR, MŠMT, MZe, TAČR, ESF, MPO and other national and international projects.
The institute’s staff also act as external evaluators in national and international projects. The Institute organizes and participates in organizing a number of international and national conferences, seminars and lifelong learning courses and closely cooperates with practice, especially with water utilities in the entire Czech Republic.
The institute provides services in the field of consulting, studies, expert opinions, expert statements and projects.
